#50 Grand Traverse Lighthouse

The Grand Traverse Lighthouse (#50 of 129) is located at the tip of the Leelanau Peninsula on Lake Michigan.

Structure: Brick (Built in 1858)
Year First Lit: 1852
Focal Height: 47 feet (14 m)
Lens: 5th Order Fresnel

Fun Fact: The original stone tower only lasted six year before it was feared to collapse. The current tower and dwelling replaced it in 1858.
